The IPSCO name is well-known throughout North America for making the finest in pipe and steel products.

IPSCO's steelmaking facility in Regina, Saskatchewan has a liquid steel capacity of 1 million tons per year. In Montpelier, Iowa, the company has a capacity of 1.25 million tons. In Mobile, Alabama, the company also has a capacity of 1.25 million tons.

IPSCO steel is custom-made in electric arc furnaces. The continuous caster and state-of-the-art rolling technology, which includes exacting width and gauge control, provides IPSCO customers with superb surface finish and uniform mechanical properties on the finished product.

IPSCO is certified to ISO-9001. Its Quality Assurance program monitors the steel through each phase of production. Ultrasonic tests are available when required or requested to provide a further measure of quality control.

Once the product is complete, IPSCO will design a transportation package that assures convenient delivery, by road or rail to all destinations in North America.

IPSCO is a name you can depend on for products of the highest quality.

At IPSCO's Regina facility steel is made in electric arc furnaces in 150 ton heats, continuously cast into slabs, then reheated and rolled into plate. IPSCO produces heavy plate in grades and sizes to suit customer requirements. The variable size range minimizes customer trim waste. Vertical edgers on IPSCO's roughing mill will give consistent widths while the finishing mill will provide superior gauge control and surface finish. Plate thickness from 0.188" through 1.25" will be supplied with sheared ends. Plate thicker than 1.25" will be provided with flame cut ends.
