Modern statistical process control methods and sophisticated testing techniques in combination with the application of nationally recognized quality standards are aimed at providing IPSCO’s customers with a consistently high quality product. IPSCO's plants are registered under the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems for the production of steel and tubular products.

It is the policy and commitment of IPSCO Inc. to enhance customer satisfaction by providing products which conform to the relevant specifications and by meeting the agreed technical requirements of our customers. At various levels of Management, quality objectives and the need for continual improvement of our quality systems are discussed, documented, and reviewed, and conveyed to the appropriate departments.

For achieving quality objectives with minimum costs, high efficiency and personal and environmental safety, various quality assurance programs have been implemented at IPSCO. ISO 9001:2000 represents one of these programs.

All employees are familiarized with quality awareness to ensure that this quality policy is understood, implemented, and maintained.

API Q1 Quality Policy

ABS Quality Policy
IPSCO can supply material to the ABS requirements within the scope of those ABS grades of plate up to 2" and ABS grades of coiled plate made from continuous cast slabs up to a maximum thickness of 0.5".

Lloyds Quality Policy
IPSCO can supply material in accordance with the requirements of Lloyd's Registrar of Shipping for steelmaking and rolling of plates up to 55 mm and strip up to 13 mm.
