IPSCO Inc. Announces Series of
Appointments
Regina, Saskatchewan, January 4, 2000 -- IPSCO Inc. (NYSE: IPS) today announced a series of appointments:
Charles Sanida has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, IPSCO Inc. He will be located at IPSCO's executive offices in Lisle, Illinois. Mr. Sanida was previously the Vice President and General Manager, Canadian Steel Mill Products, and President of IPSCO Saskatchewan Inc.
Peter MacPhail has been appointed Vice President and General Manager, Canadian Steel Mill Products and President of IPSCO Saskatchewan Inc. His office will be in Regina.
Messrs Sanida and MacPhail will report to Roger Phillips, President and Chief Executive Officer, IPSCO Inc.
James Asante has been appointed Deputy Chief Technical Officer and Director of Research. He is also a Senior Vice President of IPSCO Saskatchewan Inc. His offices will be located in the corporate research facilities at Regina. Mr. Asante will report to Charles Sanida.
Roger Juarez has been appointed Works Manager of the Regina Steelworks and Senior Vice President of IPSCO Saskatchewan Inc. Mr. Juarez will report to Peter MacPhail.
The common shares of IPSCO are traded on the New York and Toronto Stock Exchanges.
